From 6 to 9 July 2026 medievalists from all over the world gathered in Leeds for the International Medieval Congress. We took this opportunity to present M-PATCH to international colleagues.
On Monday, PhD researchers Fiammetta Comelli and Francesca Digiaro, as well as postdoctoral researcher Colin Swaelens presented papers relating to the M-PATCH project:
Fiammetta Comelli: From Hagiographic Narrative to Network Data: Early Results on the Vita of St Glodesind, BHL 3562
Francesca Digiaro: Syntactic Variation in Hagiographic Texts from the Long 10th Century
Dr. Colin Swaelens: From Annotation to Interpretation: Digital Pathways into Medieval Greek Texts
On Tuesday, prof. dr. Steven Vanderputten and prof. dr. Anne Breitbarth hosted a round table discussion about the project together with prof. dr. Diane Reilly (Indiana University), prof. dr. Julie Birkholz (Koninklijke Bibliotheek van België, Brussels / Ghent University) and prof. dr. Barbara McGillivray (King’s College London).
The presentations were very well received. The M-PATCH team will continue to keep colleagues and interested parties up-to-date about the project.
